Terms of Service

1. Who we are

'Lita Rescue is a neutral venue. We help families discover and book independent providers. We are not a home-services agency, employer, or staffing firm, and we do not perform the services ourselves.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, book a service, or offer services. By using the platform you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you may lawfully work or contract in Arizona.

3. The relationship between families and ‘Litas

'Litas are independent contractors, not employees or agents of Kingbird. The contract for any service is directly between the family and the 'Lita. We do not control how a 'Lita performs a service and are not responsible for the acts or omissions of any user.

4. Bookings, fees, and payments

Bookings are request-to-book: a ‘Lita confirms before a job is scheduled. Families pay the service rate plus a service fee; ‘Litas receive their rate less a platform commission. Payments are processed by our third-party processor (Stripe). We never store full card numbers.

5. Cancellations

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before a visit are free. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a charge of up to 50% of the booking, and a no-show may be charged in full. Specific terms are shown at booking.

6. Verification and safety

We use a third-party provider to perform identity and background checks on 'Litas, but no screening is perfect. Families are responsible for using good judgment, and everyone agrees to follow our community and safety guidelines.

7. Acceptable use

• Provide accurate information and keep your account secure.
• Do not harass, discriminate against, or endanger other users.
• Do not arrange payment off-platform to avoid fees.
• Do not use the platform for unlawful purposes.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The platform is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kingbird disclaims warranties and is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees we received for the booking at issue.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.
